In the Land of... Nola (???!!!??)

Ok, so many of you know that we have 2 felines and you know all about their behavior issues. But for those that haven't become aquainted with the girls, here's the low-down:
Scott and I adopted Fiona the week after we got married. She was a tiny thing, only 9 weeks old. Fiona is not people friendly, and generally a skittish cat. But for some reason, she does like babies and little children. Scott and I adopted Nola last summer. We thought Fiona could use a playmate in our big house, especially when we we gone so much. Everyone said to get a male cat, but i thought that Nola was so cute, and so small (look how tiny she was when we brought her home!) that surely Fiona would treat her like a little sister or baby, that Fiona would be the Alpha Female in the house. I was wrong. Nola runs the world. She beat Fiona into a reluctant submission, she's friendly and personable (except she doesn't like babies,) she wakes me up at 5 am to be cuddled, and she goes through my jewelry box. She's so into everything that she used to climb up the curtains and she sits on top of the shower door when you are in there. And she has never met a box that she didn't like. So, this picture comes only as a small surprise. I walked right past her last night, and Scott found her when he came home. She was curled up asleep in the crock pot and graciously sat up when i wanted to get a picture. She just seems huge now! And she looks so grown up... I miss the timy little Nola that you could hold in the palm of your hand... .
