Ok... so I have officially been sick for over 3 weeks.
Week 1: Weston had another ear infection and I had a very bad cold. My blood sugar was high all week so I went to the doctor at the end of the week. Diagnosis - Bad cold. Here's some Amoxicillin, fill the prescription if the cold get worse. Come back for blood tests.
Week 2: I start off the week at the Clinic having a ton of blood taken to run a variety of tests. I am actually starting to feel better. Weston's ears are perfect according to his doctor. Doctor calls back. Tests are good. Cholesterol is "outstanding." And my thyroid and blood sugars come back in the "ok" ranges. But by Thursday, things started to downhill again. My throat was so swollen that swallowing was next to impossible and by Friday I was also coughing a bit. So I filled the prescription of Amoxicillin.
Week 3: I am still sick. But I am outside all weekend, playing with Weston, going for walks, pulling weeds. I kept thinking that fresh air and sunlight would cure me. Wrong! By Monday I was miserable. Coughing a lot and it hurt. I went to the doctor Tuesday since I seemed to be getting worse. After chest x-rays and blood work, it was determined that I have a nasty case of bronchitis, and that I was well on my way to pneumonia. So, I am now on a Vpak mission and not enjoying the aftereffects of Codeine laced cough syrup. I am so sleepy that I am about passing out at work. And tonight i have the monthly Chi Omega dinner. I can't wait to hear all their news, but it doesn't make me less tired. the only advantage is the possibility
that they will hold Weston. Sad but true.
Well, I am on my way back to work. I have stuff to get done asap. But I leave you with a fabulouse photo of Weston from the weekend when we played outside. He has 3 teeth now! and he tries to crawl. It's great to watch!
